I grew up in 90`s Post-Soviet world. The environment was loving, but not aesthetically refined. I could stick my hand into the panel gaps of my mother’s Moškvitch. But when my grandfather opened up a watch case back, it was like I was watching 4K when the rest of the world was 360p.

My curiosity evolved over the years from interest to full-on geekery. At one point due to financial constraints, I realized that I couldn't experience all the watches I was curious about and felt I had reached my potential as a collector. I also don't believe in hoarding, as watches are meant to be worn and enjoyed. At one point, I even considered downsizing to just one watch. All of the above has lead me to start New Quartz Crisis - a venture born out of passion to be surrounded by more watches.

I love all watches, but I was always drown to the outliers and quartz as the ultimate dissident has won my heart. With New Quartz Crisis I aim to unlock the value of quartz and connect with similar minds to spark more conversation and share knowledge around quartz.
