Selling my collection

So far, I have lived my life as a watch collector, content with being an observer in the watch world. However, reaching a crossroad between youth and middle age has prompted me to reevaluate my choices and how I spend my time. It's time for a leap, and I have decided to become more actively involved in the watch community. With a passion for watches and a desire to immerse myself further in the realm of horology, I have made a tough decision: I am selling my entire watch collection. The thought of parting with my watches initially stirred mixed emotions, but the excitement of embarking on a new venture outweighs any sentimental attachments.

The quartz section of my humble collection

What is New Quartz Crisis

New Quartz Crisis is not a high-volume watch business. Each watch sale is treated as a special event, curated with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and history. The name "New Quartz Crisis" might raise eyebrows, as it harkens back to the infamous Quartz Crisis of the 1970s and 1980s, a period that nearly spelled doom for mechanical watches. However, we see this as an opportunity to ignite a new revolution, not in favor of mechanical watches, but for quartz. Often dismissed and disregarded, quartz watches deserve recognition and love.

The future

With New Quartz Crisis, my vision is to be more than just a player in the watch world; I want to be a catalyst for progress. We aim to breathe new life into the neglected and sometimes misunderstood realm of quartz. Our humble yet ambitious project strives to spark a "quartz renaissance" by redefining the perception of these watches and shedding light on their inherent value. Beyond just timekeeping instruments, each quartz watch carries a unique story and heritage, straight from the heart of arguably the most influential event of the watch world - The Quartz Crisis.

Conclusion

I am filled with confidence that the dividends will be both personal and professional. New Quartz Crisis isn't just about buying and selling watches; it's about contributing to the ongoing legacy of horological craftsmanship. I hope to not only surround myself with an even more diverse collection of watches but also meet new people and make friends along the way.

See you out there and thank you🙏
